Karin has over 20 years experience in Government administration, with an extensive track record of designing and implementing major innovative ICT-enabled business transformation and service improvement programs in both whole of Government and agency business contexts.
Her approach to Digital transformation focuses on a balance of mindset, skillset and toolset, taking into consideration organisational maturity and readiness, skills gaps and development and technology innovation and transformation opportunities.
Karin’s experience includes over 6 years as an agency CIO and 6 years in whole of Government ICT, e-government and digital executive leadership roles, providing her with experience in strategy and policy development, program delivery, organisational capability development, open data policy and capability development, as well as experience as an agency security executive.
Karin is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and has broad experience in designing and implementing governance structures and capabilities within and across agencies.
She currently serves as Deputy Chair on the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) SA Council and is a member of the SA Council of the Governance Institute of Australia (GIA), the national Risk and Technology Steering Committee of the GIA and the Industry Advisory Board of the University of South Australia School of Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences.
