PURCHASE, CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

Certain items, which may vary from time to time, are available for purchase via this Website.

Service contracts billed on a time and materials basis (i.e. time worked multiplied by time-based rates, and with pre-agreed materials costs passed through to the client) may be cancelled in writing at any time and there will be no charge for any hours not worked. No refund will be provided for time already worked or materials already purchased at the time of cancellation (except in limited circumstances described below). The balance of the agreed charges will not be billed.

Fixed price purchases may be cancelled in writing at any time in the 24 hours following purchase and the purchaser will receive a full refund. The purchaser may also cancel in writing up to 24 hours prior to the commencement of delivery of the purchase and receive a full refund minus administration costs of 10%. Alternatively, the purchaser may reschedule delivery of the service. Cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the commencement of delivery of the purchase will not attract any refund. Rescheduling within the same period will be strictly at the discretion of Interface Consultants.

The purchaser may also cancel and seek refunds in circumstances not catered for by the policies outlined above in accordance with Australian consumer law, which provides that:

  • The client may cancel a service if they have a major problem with a service or a minor problem that can’t be fixed within a reasonable time, and the service was:
    • provided with an unacceptable level of care and skill
    • unfit for the purpose requested
    • not delivered within a reasonable time when there is no agreed end date.
  • The client must pay for services received under a service contract that worked as expected.
  • The client can’t cancel a service contract or get a refund if the problem was outside the control of the provider or if they:
    • changed their mind
    • insisted on having a service provided in a particular way, against the provider’s advice
    • failed to clearly explain their needs to the provider.

  • in the case of services, the cost of supplying the services again or payment of the cost of having the services supplied again; and
